Tyrone\’s new middle school gymnasium hosted its first basketball game but the Indian Valley junior high girls basketball team spoiled the festivities by knocking off the Tyrone girls, 28-20.
Indian Valley jumped out to a 16-10 halftime lead and held the Lady Eagles scoreless in the third.
Tyrone mounted a frantic comeback with a 10-point fourth quarter to set the final score.
Casey Baird led the Lady Eagles with eight points, and Abby Brooks added six as the Tyrone junior high girls fell to 3-11.
Tyrone will play in the middle school gym on Thursday against Huntingdon.
The Lady \”B\” team got back on track with a convincing 18-8 victory.
Tyrone\’s Abby Brooks hit the first shot in the new gym, a three pointer, and along with Baird had six points.
