The Bellwood-Antis girls junior high basketball team limited the Mount Union junior high to just 17 points. The one problem with that was the Lady Trojans (5-8) only gave up 13 points to the Bellwood-Antis girls to win 17-13.
Ashley Hamer led the Lady Blue Devils with five points, and Amanda Grannas and Brooke McVicker each added three points.
“We played a beautiful first half,” explained Bellwood-Antis junior high coach Erin Johnson. “But when we came out after halftime, it looked like a completely different team. We have Claysburg on Thursday, we will just have to see how we play against them.”
Bellwood-Antis (4-8, with six straight losses) will try to get back on track by hosting Claysburg-Kimmel at 3:45 p.m. in the last of four straight home games.
