A Tyrone man’s vehicle was shot at somewhere in Blair County between Sept. 1 and 14, according to state police.
The front bumper of Benjamin Blaine Johnson’s vehicle was hit with a small caliber firearm. The damage was estimated at $500.

A two-vehicle accident last Wednesday on Fowler Hollow Lane in Taylor Township, Centre County, left a two-year girl with minor injuries.
The crash happened when 34-year-old Jennifer Wertz of Port Matilda was driving west and she observed several chickens on the road. She stopped for them to clear the road. Sherman Fink of Port Matilda saw Wertz’s vehicle stopping, but the 65-year-old driver was unable to stop in time and hit the rear of Wertz’s car.
Wertz and Fink were uninjured. A two-year-old girl in Wertz’s car suffered a bump on the head. A five-year boy was unhurt. Both children were in child safety seats. Fink will be cited for a driving at safe speed violation.
Fink’s vehicle had minor damage while Wertz’s car had severe damage and was towed from the scene.

A 31-year-old rural Tyrone man, Travis Lee Noland, said someone took a prescription drug from inside his home on Reightown Road in Antis Township on Sept. 13.
The value of the medicine was listed at $50.

State police are investigating a scattering rubbish case that happened sometime between last Thursday and Sunday in Antis Township.
Police said someone dumped about eight bags of trash on Kerbaugh Road. Mail with a name on it was found inside at least one of the bags.

An RR 5 Tyrone woman, Chandra Lea Taylor, was assaulted by a man she knew at a residence on Kingdom Street in Tipton, Antis Township last Thursday between 8:30 and 11:50 p.m.
The assault happened when the 25-year-old woman and the suspect were engaged in an argument. The victim received minor injuries from the assault. State police said charges will be filed against the suspect before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller.

A young girl was injured in a two-vehicle accident last Friday at 6:50 p.m. in Snyder Township.
Police said Kimberly Brown and Gerald Miller, both of State College, were traveling south on State Route 550 about 2/10 of a mile north of State Route 453. Brown’s vehicle was following Miller’s vehicle and Miller stopped on the road to wait for northbound traffic to clear. He intended to turn left onto a side road and Brown was unable to stop her vehicle in time on the wet road and hit the rear of Miller’s vehicle.
Brown’s vehicle was also occupied by five juvenile females. One of the girls was taken to Tyrone Hospital for treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Brown was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

A Roaring Spring man, Robert Lloyd, was involved in a one-vehicle accident on River Road in Antis Township on Saturday at 12:30 a.m.
State police said he was going too fast to negotiate a curve. His vehicle crossed the southbound lane and struck a guard rail. Lloyd was wearing a seat belt. Police said he was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

Carracciolo’s Scrap Yard was the scene of a burglary and theft during the overnight hours between last Friday and Saturday.
Someone forcibly entered the office building of the business, which caused $1,000 damage to the facility. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) took a fork truck valued at $20,000 and copper worth $6,000. State police said their investigation was continuing as of earlier this week.
