A 50-year-old Tyrone area woman was the victim of a burglary that happened sometime between 7 a.m. on June 7 and 10 p.m. on July 8 in Warriors Mark Township.
Huntingdon County-based state police said someone went into the residence of Rita Riggleman on Big Dream Lane by entering through a side window where an air conditioning unit was located. Once inside the home, they searched for and removed several items.
Police said the investigation was continuing. Anyone with information should contact state police at 627-3161.

A 40-year-old Tyrone woman, Peggy Suzann Sprankle, escaped injury in a DUI-related incident on old Route 220 and State Route 4023 in Antis Township at 4:58 p.m. on July 7.
Sprankle was seen driving north in the southbound lane of old 220 when she veered left and hit a PennDOT “no parking sign”. Sprankle continued north and attempted to turn left on State Route 4023, almost striking two other vehicles in the process. Bystanders were able to convince Sprankle to stop her vehicle and wait for police.
An investigation revealed Sprankle to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested without incident.
A criminal complaint charging Sprankle with DUI and related traffic offenses was filed with Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller. The case will proceed by summons.

An 18-year-old Tyrone man, Trent Lee Smith, was charged with disorderly conduct for an incident at the DelGrosso Amusement Park parking lot on July 10 at 9:50 p.m.
Police said Smith was doing “donuts” in the parking lot. They listed the victim in the case as “society.”
