Lillian M. Woomer, age 76, of 2 W. 11th Street, Tyrone, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006 at 6:30 a.m. at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Campus.
She was born Dec. 8, 1929 in Tyrone, the daughter of Amos and Ella Howard Woomer. She is survived by a nephew Sonny Woomer and wife Betsy and family of RD 3, Tyrone and a niece Peggy Woomer and family of RD 3, Tyrone, both of whom were raised in the family home and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a brother John E. Woomer and wife Beulah and family of California Hollow.
She was a member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church and of the Joy Class. She was a homemaker. She particularly enjoyed the children of the family and was devoted to her church.
Funeral service for Lillian M. Woomer will be Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church with the Pastor Michelle Somerville officiating. Interment will follow in the Bald Eagle Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
