An Altoona woman is facing fines and costs stemming from a dog attack in Snyder Township on Sunday at 8:45 p.m.
Ashley M. Harn had citations filed against her at Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller’s office earlier this week.
State Department of Agriculture spokesperson Michael Smith said the citations involved an incident that led to the death of a dog belonging to David Frantz. The dog was allegedly attacked by a pack of pit bulls.
Smith confirmed Harn was being cited for failing to license four of the dogs, failure to have proper vaccinations for some of the dogs and failure to keep the dogs on the owner or keepers’ premises at all times.
Harn faces fines and other costs including veterinarian bills of $161, cremation of the deceased dog, $145 and replacement cost of the dog of $450.
Smith said the matter was still under investigation.
