The Bellwood girls volleyball teams traveled to Flinton on Thursday evening to battle the Glendale Lady Vikings.
The Lady Blue Devils (11-0) continued their season-long rampage by slicing up Glendale in three straight games 25-5, 25-9 and 25-18. The Bellwood-Antis girls have won 33 straight games this year in winning dual matches without losing a single game.
Lauren Carter led the Lady Blue Devils with eight blocks, 10 kills, and Lauren Leap had 18 assists. Haley Crider had a dozen service points, Meredith Palmer had 11 and Chelsea Wilson added 10.
“The girls extend their record to 11-0 and continue to show improvement,” said Bellwood-Antis volleyball coach Stephanie Burner. “They’re playing very well as a team and seem to come together more and more each match.”
The Bellwood-Antis junior varsity also defeated the Glendale junior varsity 25-10 and 25-11 in two straight games to improve their record to 10-1.
Bellwood-Antis will host Williamsburg on Tuesday next week, before traveling to Juniata Valley for a match on Thursday. Both matches will begin with junior varsity action at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
