The Tyrone boys varsity soccer team played host to Bald Eagle Area on Wednesday afternoon at the Fifth Street field in the Harry Sickler Sports Complex.
The first-year Eagle team lost to Bald Eagle Area by a 10-2 count.
In the battle of Eagles, The Bald Eagles from BEA outshot the neophyte Golden Eagles of Tyrone 21-3 on shots on goal.
Tyrone\’s Josh Mills and Ethan Nulton both scored in the second half to account for the Tyrone points.
In Junior varsity action, the Tyrone Jayvee squad tied 1-1 with Jonathan Hampton putting the ball into the net for Tyrone in the second half.
The Tyrone junior varsity is now 2-2-1.
The boys soccer teams will host Cambria Heights today. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
