The Tyrone swim teams split with Richland and Bellefonte at the Tyrone Area High School pool on Wednesday evening.
The Tyrone boys (4-0) continued their early season unbeaten streak with a 50-44 win over Bellefonte and 57-36 victory over Richland.
The Lady Eagles fell to Bellefonte 54-40 and to Richland 65-28 to drop to 0-4.
In the boys races, the Eagles 200 medley relay team of Brian Pearson, Zac Yeaton and the Nulton brothers, freshman Ethan and senior Eric won against both opponents. Eric Nulton won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly against both teams and Ethan Nulton won the 100 freestyle against both teams.
Matt Elder won the 500 freestyle against Richland and the Eagles 400 free relay team of Nick Diehl, Chris Closson, Elder and Yeaton defeated Richland.
The Lady Eagles had seven of 11 first places in their battle with the Richland girls, but was able to outscore the Richland girls just 32-28 in those seven races.
Kelly Pearson won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, Paige Black won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Leah Cherry won the 500 freestyle and the 200 and 400 relay teams composed of Cherry, Zoe Yeaton, Pearson and Black each was the first team to reach the finish line.
In the meet with Bellefonte, Black won the 100 freestyle , Pearson took the 100 backstroke and Cherry, Yeaton, Pearson and Black won the 200 free relay.
On Monday the swim teams host Cambria Heights. Start time will be 6 p.m.
