The Tyrone boys swim team moved to 8-0 with an 82-54 victory over Altoona at the Altoona Area High School pool on Thursday night.
Eric Nulton led the way for the Eagle swimmers with individual wins in both the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly as well as swimming a leg on the victorious 200 medley relay. Younger brother Ethan Nulton won the 100 backstroke, joined Eric on the 200 medley relay and was second in the 50 free. Brian Pearson won the 100 freestyle, was on the 200 medley relay team and garnered a second in the 100 backstroke.
Nick Diehl was on the medley relay, as well as finishing second in the 100 breaststroke and 100 IM. Providing more depth, Matt Elder was second in the 500 freestyle, Matt Grimm finished second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 free. Thirds were earned by Chris Closson in the 100 IM, Andrew Shultz in the 450 free and Jordan Campbell in the 100 breaststroke. Tyrone relay teams finished second and third in the 200 free relay.
The Tyrone girls fell to Altoona 108-52.
Zoe Yeaton won the 100 butterfly and joined teammates Leah Cherry, Kelly Pearson and Paige Black to win the 400 free relay and also finished second in the 100 breaststroke.
Pearson was also second in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke. Black was second in the 50 free and third in the 100 freestyle. Cherry was third in the 200 free and 500 free and Kassie Markle was third in the 100 breaststroke.
