The Tyrone boys swim team maintained their perfect record at the Tyrone Area High School pool on Wednesday evening by edging Westmont-Hilltop 88-82. The Eagle swimmers are now 9-0 with a tough meet at State College coming up next on Friday night.
Ethan Nulton won both the 200 IM and 500 freestyle races and Eric Nulton took the 100 butterfly, Chris Bradigan won the 50 free and Zac Yeaton won the 100 breaststroke for the Eagles. Tyrone also won the 200 medley relay with Brian Pearson, Eric Nulton, Yeaton and Bradigan and the 200 free relay with Pearson, Bradigan and both Nultons. Pearson also score a pair of second places in the 200 free and 100 backstroke, Bradigan was second in the 100 fly and the 400 free relay team of Matt Grimm, Chris Closson, Matte Elder and Yeaton was second.
The Tyrone girls failed to win a first place in dropping a 128-39 decision to the Westmont girls.
Zoe Yeaton was second in the 200 IM, Leah Cherry was second in the 500 freestyle and 200 free, Kelly Pearson was second in the 100 backstroke and Paige Black finished second in the 50 freestyle.
