The Tyrone Junior High boy’s basketball team won their eighth straight game Wednesday afternoon, beating the visiting Bellefonte Red Raiders 36-24.
The Eagles got a 15-point effort from Josh Bradley, and the win raised their season record to 9-2.
Tyrone got off to a good 11-4 start in the first quarter behind four points apiece from Bradley and Matt Brooks, and a three-pointer from Brandon Gehret to end the period.
By halftime, they had extended their lead to 24-12 with six more Bradley points, and some high energy play off the bench from Ethan Etters for three points.
Both teams battled back and forth over the last two quarters in a second-half stalemate that gained experience for Tyrone’s bench, and left them the winner.
Tyrone’s next games will be Friday at Indian Valley.
