Southern Gospel’s “father & son” duet team, Tim and Timmy LeBeau from Lexington, NC will present two concerts at the Grace Baptist Church of Tyrone on Saturday, October 30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, October 31 at 10:30 a.m.
A nursery and children’s church will be provided during the Sunday morning concert.
Born January 27, 1958, in Ann Arbor, MI, Tim was raised in a Christian home. His outstanding music talents drew him into a lifestyle that took him away from God into the world of Country Music and Nashville recordings. From age 18 to age 30, LeBeau sang and played with a Country Rock group called the “Jordonaires”. During those years, Tim earned notoriety for doing Elvis Presley impersonations.
Tim says of these years, “I had a big home, limousines, everything I ‘thought’ I wanted, only to feel a void in my heart.”
While singing for the Governor of North Carolina, LeBeau sensed a deep and abiding awareness of his life’s emptiness, and called on Jesus Christ to forgive him and give him a new life. From a changed heart, LeBeau devoted his music talents to the Lord and his desire to see a lost and dying world come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
After being a soloist for years, LeBeau’s son Timmy, now age 17, has joined his concert ministry. The addition of Timmy adds a new voice and dimension that reaches the young and old alike. The harmony blending their voices is truly beautiful and most of their songs are original as they write most of their own music.
The area community is warmly invited to this special concert of foot tappin’, hand clappin’, praising the Lord music! The Sunday concert will be a different concert than Saturday evening, so those who would enjoy hearing the LeBeau’s twice will hear a wide variety of their music.
For further information or directions to Grace, call 684-5016 or 684-4451. A simple way to find Grace is to come to Tyrone, follow the signs to Sheetz, and ask for directions to “East End Pizza”.
The church is located across the street from this long-time, famous hoagie business on Columbia Avenue in Tyrone.
