Tyrone traveled to Toftrees in State College for a four-team golf match on Thursday. The Golden Eagles dropped matches to State College 374-310, Lewistown 374-355 and Philipsburg-Osceola 374-369.
Tyrone junior Jimmy Gillam was medalist for the day with a score of 73. John Au carded a 75, Zack Harding a 76 and J. D. Coccia a 78 for State College, Bubba McGee shot a 77 to lead Philipsburg-Osceola and Allan Boob shot a 76 to lead Lewistown.
Derrick Soellner shot an 89 for Tyrone, Larry Mattern carded a 105, Clint Wilson came in at 107 and Kevin hershberger shot a 113. Alternate Ben Lynn shot 116. Josh Clark carded a 119.
Tyrone (0-4) hosts Mount Union and Bellefonte on Wednesday, Sept 8 at Sinking Valley Country Club.
