Pennsylvania State Police have identified the body found at Canoe Creek State Park to be Tina S. Miller, age 26, of Hollidaysburg.
The case is currently under investigation. The initial call to the police with the discovery of the body was placed at approximately 1:15 p.m., Sunday.
The autopsy was conducted yesterday at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center. Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross has ruled the victim’s death to be a criminal homicide.
The actual cause of death is being withheld at this time for investigative purposes.
Anyone that was fishing, boating or at Canoe Creek State Park during the night-time hours on June 26 into June 27 is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 696-6100.
The Hollidaysburg State Police were assisted by the Blair County District Attorney’s office, the Blair County coroner’s office, the Hollidaysburg Borough Police Department, the Altoona City Police Department and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
