The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce takes pride in the community and Central Pennsylvania.
In an effort to share this with others, the Chamber will soon be producing a tourism and reference guide which will be available at local businesses and other common spots for travelers.
The Chamber of Commerce believes this project to be a great opportunity to attract people, activities and business to the Tyrone area, which will promote prosperity and economic growth.
The Chamber will be printing 20,000 of these guides and will be distributing them to a numerous and wide variety of key locations. The guides will be on display and available throughout the 2004 year and possibly longer.
The guides will detail the history of Tyrone, the local attractions in and around the town, lists of local businesses, churches, emergency services, and organizations, as well as 39 ads by select local businesses.
Time is running out for those interested in placing an advertisement in the new tourism and reference guide.
The deadline for the ads is July 9.
Those who place an ad in the guide will have it featured prominently in the guide and have a prime opportunity throughout the year to be viewed by potential customers.
Also, those who place an ad will be able to provide the text and imagery they decide upon for the ad.
Space will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and ad space will only be guaranteed once the Chamber has received full payment.
