Starting times are scheduled for Friday, May 21 at 6 p.m.; Saturday, May 22 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. Sunday morning worship with communion is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
The gospel sing is sponsored by the Sinking Valley Farm Show, Choraliers and Pearl and Jubilee Singers.
Numerous activities are planned for the event, including performances by gospel singers, Sunday morning worship, great food and a special meal on Sunday. Another highlight is that camper space is available for those who would like stay overnight.
Reservations for the noon Sunday dinner are required by Saturday. The Sinking Valley Farm Show will prepare a delicious ham meal. For those interested, a concession stand serving sandwiches, soups and other foods will be available Friday through Sunday.
According to Sinking Valley Farm Show representative Sarah Long, the weekend entertainment is based on whoever shows up to sing. Those gospel groups who choose to attend are scheduled when they arrive.
“Anyone who would like to come sing gospel is more than welcome to come and sing,” said Long.
Many groups who perform are local, while some travel from Clinton County, like the Weimers, and others travel from York, Allentown, Centre Hall and other places out of the area.
Long also added that the gospel sing has grown over the years. Usually, 40-50 people attend, but she would like to see more visit this year.
