The Tyrone Junior High boys basketball team travelled to Wingate on Wednesday afternoon to face the Eagles of Bald Eagle Area, and came away with a sweep.
In the first game, John Harris led all scorers with nine points as the eighth grade team defeated their BEA counterparts by a 32-24 score to improve their record to 6-1.
In the second game,The Baby Eagles carried just a one point lead 19-18 into the locker room at halftime. They increased that to 30-23 to start the fourthth quarter, then had to hold off a flurry of Bald Eagle Area points to hold on for the 38-37 win.
Their record now stands at 5-4.
Steve Catich led the scoring for Tyrone with 13 points, followed by Jamie Levinson with 11, all in the first half.
