Warriors Mark resident Kevin Stacey has been appointed to the position of community relations coordinator for safety.
He will be managing traffic and safety education for both the community and the media in District 9.
“Well, I started last Monday and am really looking forward to the work ahead of me here,” said Stacey. “I want to help push safety forward, both in the educational settings and the community. That’s what they hired me to do.”
Stacey comes to PENNDOT from the office of Senator Robert Jubelirer, where he served as a special assistant for the past three years. There, he said he did a lot of constituent case work.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in politics from the Pennsylvania State University. He completed his secondary education at Altoona High School.
He is originally from Altoona, but later moved to Bellefonte. He has resided in Warriors Mark for about a year.
Also, Tara Callahan has been appointed to the community relations coordinator position. As the CRC, Callahan manages the district’s community, legislative and media relations.
Prior to coming to PENNDOT, Callahan worked for Graphic Arts Show Company of Reston, Va. where she served as the communications assistant and assistant to the web designer.
Callahan holds a Bachelors Degree in sociology from the Pennsylvania State University. She completed her secondary education at Hollidaysburg Area High School and currently resides in Hollidaysburg.
