The Tyrone boys swim team (2-0) won their second straight match of the early season on Monday night, besting Richland 81-75 at the losers pool. The Tyrone Lady Eagles (0-2) dropped their second match of the year 86-77.
Eric Nulton won both the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly as well as swimming a leg on the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. Zac Yeaton won the 100 breaststroke and was a member of both winning relay teams. Completing the 200 medley team were Brian Pearson and Ted Feller and Matt Elder and Feller joined Nulton and Yeaton on the victorious 200 freestyle relay team.
Jeri Harper and Katie Frye each won a pair of individual events for the Lady Eagles. Harper won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke and Frye added wins in the 200 IM and 500 freestyle. Both were also part of the victorious 200 medley relay team and 200 freestyle relay team was well. Ashley Gilliland and Zoe Yeaton completed the winning 200 medley team and Yeaton and Paige Black completed the 200 freestyle relay team.
The Tyrone swim teams are at Cambria heights for their next match on Monday, Dec. 15. The meet will begin at 4 p.m.
