The Grier School opened their tennis season on Wednesday with a 5-2 win over Huntingdon.
The Lady ‘Cats won the number one and two singles matches, but after that it was all Grier with five straight wins to wrap up the victory.
Christina Trujillo started the sweep at the number three singles position and Valeska Kuhn and Gintare Karalyte followed with wins in the final two singles matches. Francisca Boenning and Linea Boenning won the number one doubles match and Trujillo and Karalyte added a win at number two.
In exhibitions, Ana Gavankova of the Grier School, won 8-0 and the doubles duo of Sadaf Zafeev and Saniyah Ahmed defeated their Hunutingdon foes 6-2.
