Tyrone Hospital is pleased to announce that Brian Dodson, M.D., board certified gastroenterologist will join the medical staff of Tyrone Hospital and will have office hours in Tyrone beginning October 1.
Dr. Dodson will see patients at Tyrone Hospital while his office on the Tyrone Hospital campus is being prepared.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Dodson provides medical services for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the digestive system.
Dr. Dodson is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of Blair Gastroenterology Associates. In addition to Tyrone Hospital, he is on staff at other Blair County facilities including Altoona Hospital, Bon Secours Regional Health System, Mason Hospital, and Healthsouth Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Dodson is a graduate of the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa. He completed a gastroenterology fellowship and a research fellowship at Washington University.
The American Journal of Physiology has published articles co-authored by Dr. Dodson on various topics related to gastroenterology.
Dr. Dodson’s professional affiliations include the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Gastroenterology.
