Louise G. Van Devander, 75 of 613 North Fifth Street, Bellwood, died Sunday evening, November 24, 2002 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 8, 1927 in Grazierville, a daughter of the late James C. and Viola (Buck) Kahler. She married Paul B. Van Devander on June 5, 1954 at Grace Lutheran Church in Bellwood.
Mrs. Van Devander is survived by her husband, two sons, Steven C. of Belwood and Lyn P. and his wife Kim of Altoona and by grandchildren Kenny and Lindsay. She is also survived by her faithful dog Casper.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sandra Louise, also her brother James Kahler and sister Bessie C. Davis.
Mrs. Van Devander was a longtime member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Belwood, where she sang in the choir for many years and was a member of the service committee. She was a member of the Tyrone Chapter #288 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed music, movies, gardening and her family.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood, with Rev. Carl Alexy officiating. Interment will be made at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
