Mrs. Sue Ann Welsh, age 48, of Spruce Creek Road, Spruce Creek, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 1:17 p.m. in the Emergency Room of the Tyrone Hospital. She was born October 15, 1954 in Tyrone, the saughter of George W. Jr. and Sara Jane (Sally) Baronner Miller. She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by a son Eric and two daughters Jennifer Gailey and Sara Welsh, all of Spruce Creek; four grandchildren, A.J. Welsh, Noah Welsh, Austin and Elise Gailey and her mother. Also surviving is her former husband Robert Welsh of Altoona and an aunt Shirley Anderson and cousin Barbara Anderson, both of Tyrone.
She was a member of Water Street Evangelical Church. She was a member of Crystal Springs Ladies Auxiliary and was active in her prayer group, a member of the Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary and of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a 1972 graduate of Tyrone High School and had attended the Hagerstown (Md.) Secretarial School. She had been employed as a Teacher’s Aide in the Tyrone Elementary School, retiring on disability in 1995. She enjoyed her grandchildren, knitting, crafting and camping at Crystal Springs.
Funeral service for Sue Ann Welsh will be Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Boyles officiating. Interment will be in Franklinville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory are requested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 506 Third Avenue, Duncansville, Pa. 16635.
