The Tyrone swim team traveled to Huntingdon on Monday afternoon to meet Huntingdon.
The Eagle boys improved their season mark to 8-1 by squeezing past the Bearcats 86-81. Evan Stover and Eric Nulton were double winners to pace the win. Nulton came in first in the 100 Butterfly and 500 freestyle, while Stover won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. David Collins added a victory in the 100 breaststroke and added seconds in the 200 IM and 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays. Brian McManigal added seconds in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle relay.
The girls dropped a 100-60 decision to the Lady Bearcats to fall to 2-7.
Jeri Harper won the 100 freestyle and anchored the winning 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays to lead the Tyrone girls.
Angel Diehl and Katie Frye were members of both relays, while Zoe Yeaton led off the 200 freestyle relay and Leah Cherry was the first swimmer on the 400 freestyle relay for the Lady Eagles. Frye, Harper and Diehl also contributed one second place in individual events as well, Frye in the 500 freestyle, Harper in the 200 IM and Diehl in the 50 freestyle.
