Lewistown came to pay the Baby Eagles a visit yesterday, and went away empty-handed as Tyrone came away with a 58-48 victory.
A big 26 point second quarter gave Tyrone a 38-24 lead going into halftime. That lead ballooned to 48-28 late in the 3rd quarter. From there all 13 players got into the action for the Eagles.
“We did a lot of little things right today,” commented Coach Domenick. “This was our best rebounding effort of the season.”
Three players had double-digit scoring, with Tyler Hoover leading the way with 15, all in the first half. Adam Corle was next with 12, and Josh Clark had 11. Jim Gillam and Doug Morrow narrowly missed double-digits, with eight points each.
Tyrone, now 12 – 3 on the season, makes the trip to Bellefonte on Friday in a return match with the Red Raiders. In their first meeting, Tyrone barely escaped with a 43-42 win.
