The Tyrone Lady Eagles improved to 5-3 on the season with a 52-43 victory over West Chester East in the first round of the Souderton Holiday Basketball Tournament.
The Lady Eagles were powered by solid inside play. Senior Jo Turner led the Tyrone attack with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Classmate Marie DelBaggio had 14 points and seven boards and sophomore Hilary McNelis finished the night with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Tyrone will face the tournament host Souderton in the Championship game tonight.
