League-leading John Ramsey (7-0) opened up some more room for themselves in the Sunday Girls Basketball League by knocking off State Farm (5-2), the second place team by a 36-21 count. Kiley Dick and Jenna Morgan fronted the attack for the winners with a dozen points each and Sammy Patterson threw in eight points, while Rachel Emigh led State Farm with a game-high 13 points and Stephanie Miller added six points. Both of State Farm’s losses have come at the hands of the John Ramsey girls.
VFW smashed Elks 52-22 in the highest scoring game of the weekend. Liz Erickson equaled the opponents total with a league-best 22 points for VFW (3-4) and teammates Suzanne Zimmerman added 14 and Jenna Nevling chipped in 10 points. Cassie Baird led Elks (1-6) with eight points, Arianne Miller had five and Bethany Mertiff added four points.
In the other game played on Sunday, O’s Sew Shop (4-3) behind 12 points from Ashley Lechner and nine more from Laura Cherry defeated Med-Center Pharmacy 23-10. Paris Harden led Med-Center Pharmacy (1-6) with six points.

For the first time this season, there were NO games played in the Three-On-Three Men’s League.
Team # 7 (11-17) forfeited two games to first place Joshua House (25-3), Team # 5 (21-7) received two easy wins from J-House (15-13), Mavericks (9-19) received two wins from Old Timers (5-23) and Evergreen Farms (19-9) got two the easy way from P. S. Printing (1-27). This concluded the regular season, with the top four teams beginning the playoffs on Wednesday Nov. 13 and the finals to follow on Wednesday Nov. 18.

First Round Playoffs
Joshua House, the top seed, opened the playoffs with a pair of wins over No. three seed Evergreen Farms.
Jim Kilmartin led Joshua House with 15 points in a 33-20 Game One victory, while Jarrod Anderson had 14 points for Evergreen Farms. In Game Two, Kilmartin poured in 15 points in a 32-22 win over Evergreen Farms, who were led by Anderson’s 10 points.
In the matchup between No. Two seed Team # 5 and No. Four J-House, the two teams split a pair of games by very nearly identical scores.
Team # 5 won the opening contest 32-24 with Jim Koeller pumping in 20 points for the winners and Mark Kosoglow with the same number leading J-House. In the second game, Kosoglow again scored 20 points in a J-House 32-23 triumph over Team # 5. Kurt Melton lead Team # 5 with nine points.
