The Bellwood-Antis junior high hosts Chestnut Ridge next Thursday, Oct. 10 with gametime set for 6 p.m.
“We came out a litle flat in the first half,” said B-A coach Charlie Burch, “and when we got ahead by two TDs, I think the kids thought it was all over. Penns Valley scored to make it close at halftime and were driving in the thirtd quarter. We forced a fumble and went down and scored. That seemed to take the wing out of their sails. We scored on a big run by Dustin Harris early that kind of woke us up. Then the two TDsby Josh Kleinfelter really put us in the driver’s seat. We had a big second-half effort, but it should have come earlier. We aren’t saqtisfied yet, but this win guarantees a winning season. We are now looking forward to Chestnut Ridge next week, they are one of the teams who gave us three straight losses at the end of last year.”
