Day two of what seems like the hottest day of the year has passed.
The heat ironically feeds into Coach Franco’s saying that “We are going through the fire, and from fire comes steel.”
Although the day seems long and very intensly hot, Coach Franco’s saying stands true as second by second more and more work is done and the true shape of our team is forming.
Although one unit, the “Hogs” are in my opinion the basis. As a hog myself it seems just to say so, not to take any credit away from our skill positions. The hogs are led by a few key seniors Boyd Taylor, Blake Cowfer, Jon Sellers, an injured Josh Frye, and myself.
Not to make is seem like we are all that counts our other team leaders such as Dan Grazier, Tyler Mertiff, Josh Good, and Aaron Jeffries play a huge part of our team also.
As most know a team must consist of 11 players, and along with our senior leaders, there are many younger players such as Justin Clark, Max Soellner, and ever a few newcomers that have been filling those 11 spots strengthfully.
As individuals, we have our own personal goals. Yet right now everyone’s mind is set on one infamous goal, and that goal is to prevail on August 30th in the Backyard Brawl 2002.
