Junior, Laura Thompson, has qualified for the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association State Chorus Festival in Hershey April 16 – 18. Laura obtained this high honor through her placement within the Alto I section at the recent District 6 and Region III Chorus Festivals. While attending State Chorus she will be rehearsing with Dr. Anthony Leach of the Pennsylvania State University for a public concert on Friday evening, April 18 at the historic Hershey Theatre. TAHS Choral Director Catherine Young said, “Laura is a student who is talented, self-motivated and works extremely hard. We are all proud of her accomplishments and wish her well at her State audition.” Young added that if Laura places well at this audition she will then qualify for the Music Educators’ National Conference All-Eastern Chorus to be held in 2009.
