Mr. Robert L. Dick, age 72, of 212 W. 10th Street, Tyrone, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 12:47 a.m. at the Tyrone Hospital. He was born November 18, 1935 in Hollidaysburg, the son of Harvey and Myra McGee Dick. On October 14, 1958 he was married to Pamela White who survives. Also surviving are three children: Robin Reese, Robert L. Jr. and fiancee Melissa, and David L. and wife Sherry, all of Tyrone; and three grandchildren – Carly and Cody Reese and Robbi Dick, and a step-grandson Mason, all of Tyrone. He was the last of his immediate family.
Bob served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He had been employed as a truck loader in the Finishing Department at Westvaco, retiring in 1999 after 28 years service. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch with his dog Buddy and greeting his friends and family. Bob’s favorite expression was “Hang in there…20 years from now you’ll never know the difference.”
Private funeral service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family with Reverend Susan Halverstadt officiating. Interment will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1650 Clay Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686.
