In a wild battle at Geesey Park on Sunday, Tyrone Legion spotted Dick’s Pharmacy a 3-0 lead after one inning and was able only to match scores after that, in a 10-7 loss.
Dick’s continued to pile on the runs, with two in the second and fourth and single tallies in the third, fifth and sixth.
Tyrone Legion, under manager Chris Futrick, broke into the scoring column in the top of the second and added another in the fifth, two more in the sixth and three in the seventh.
Matt Brooks, Eric Desch and Mike Moore each banged out a pair of base hits for Tyrone Legion to provide most of the fire power for the Tyrone-based club.
Moore had the biggest blows of all, a home run, a double and three RBI, while Kris Decker added a double, and an RBI and Aaron Cunningham drove in two runs for Tyrone Legion.
Tyler Golden struck out seven and walked seven. Decker took the loss for Tyrone Legion, with one walk and no strikeouts.
The Tyrone Legion committed four errors on defense.
Tyler Sweeney and Cory Kutruff each had two hits and drove in two runs for Dick’s Pharmacy.
Tyrone Legion (7-10) will play Park Furniture today at 6 p.m. at Juniata.
