The Tyrone Area Elementary Art Department will be holding a public art show on Thursday, May 15 at the elementary school cafeteria and gymnasium area.
It is an opportunity to see the students’ creative work in grades K4 through fourth as their art work is displayed in a unique way this year.
KidsArt Fair, a company that displays school art work in a professionally framed manner, has been working closely with elementary art teacher, Ann Yaniello, since February. The company provided the paper for the children’s work, invitations, and posters to promote the show for the school.
KidsArt Fair also encourages students to explore and express their imagination by creating a masterpiece during art classes. Their creations are then framed for display in a special one evening only art gallery event at the school.
Not only will the art show appear more professional, the parents have the opportunity to purchase their child’s framed piece of art. If parents choose not to, the art work will still be returned to all the students to take home.
The art work that is sold will benefit the elementary art department. It will receive 20 percent of the sales.
There will be two separate art shows Thursday evening, because of the abundance of students at the elementary school. The art show for grades K4 through first will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and grades second through fourth will display art work from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Tyrone Area Elementary Art Department stated that if there is a schedule conflict with anyone who wants to attend, people are more than welcome to come anytime during the evening.
Come see the Tyrone Area Elementary Art Show this Thursday to see the outstanding work and creativity of the young students in conjunction with Mrs. Yaniello and KidsArt Fair.
