The Central PA Wolves varsity ice hockey team defeated Ligonier Valley 4-2, at Galactic Ice on Saturday afternoon.
Bellwood-Antis foreign exchange student Phillippe St-Arnaud led the Wolves attack with three golas and an assist and Craig Thompson of Centrl added a goal and two assists of his own.
Ligonier Valley scored first midway through the first period, then Central PA put the next three scores on the scoreboard and the teams traded the final two goals to insure the Wolves 13th win of the season.
St-Arnaud tied the score with the first goal of his hat trick four minutes into the second period, off assists from Thompson and Matt Kennedy (Central) and Thompson put the Wolves ahead to stay three minutes later with assists from St-Arnaud and Ed Reilley (Central).
St-Arnaud added his second tally at the 7:02 mark of the third period with an assist from Kennedy to give the Wolves a 3-1 advantage.
Ligonier Valley cut the lead to 3-2 half a minute later, but the Central PA defense held the Mounties in check from that point and St-Arnaud added his final goal putting the puck into the net with assists from Thompson and Kyle Hopkins of State College with 10 seconds left to play.
