Bellwood-Antis captured the championship of the Juniata Valley junior high league with a 33-23 triumph over Penns Valley on Friday afternoon.
Evan Hughes fronted the attack for the little Blue Devils of coach Roger fair and assistant Fred Elvey with 11 points and Tyler Elvey added 10 points.
Wiest led Penns Valley with a game-high 12 points.
Following on the heels of a perfect 8-0 mark in football, outscoring their eight opponents 273-63 this past fall, the Bellwood-Antis junior high boys basketball team finishes the season 21-1 overall with a perfect 16-0 mark in Juniata Valley League action.
The Little Blue Devils outscored their 22 opponents 1,093-508, averaging 49.7 points per game, while giving up 23.1 points.
