The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team got back into the win column on Tuesday afternoon against Glendale following a loss to Spring Cove on Monday.
Playing at home the Lady Blue Devils, who won only two games a year ago for head coach Steve Conlon, improved to 5-3 with a 37-21 triumph over Glendale.
Ashley McAlevy fronted the B-A girls with game-high 13 points. Ashley Lechner added eight points, Lix Erickson had six and Lauren Lender contributed five.
Brittany Boulton led the Lady Vikings with six points.
“We really stepped up today,” said Conlon. “Ashley pretty much carried us early, until everybody else got into the swing of things. We pressed a good bit and got a lot of turnovers that the girls converted into a lot of easy points.”
