The Grier girls tennis team dropped their season opeing match to the State College junior varsity squad on Monday 4-3.
Isabella Carttolenc defeated Alex Curtis 8-5 and Maria Villarroel downed Sara Muscarella 8-6 back-to-back to give the Grier School an early lead after the number three singles match for tennis coach Stephanie johnson-Smith.
Dannielle O’Malley and Ali Reed teamed up for Grier’s only other win, an 8-2 victory over Alex Rodgers and Stacey Newburg.
