The Bellwood-Antis junior high football team knocked off Juniata Valley Thursday at Bellwood Memorial Stadium to improve their record to 2-1 while Juniata Valley drops to 1-1.
Dustin Harris, who rolled up 90 yards rushing, scored the first two touchdowns in the game on runs of 27 and 32 yards and Dan Kovac grabbed a 2-pt. PAT pass from Kyle Drost to give the Little Blue Devils a 14-0 lead.
Bellwood-Antis stretched their advantage to 22-0 with a Boe Latchford 12-yard run in the second quarter.Josh Kleinfelter passed to Eli Colyer for the 2-pt. PAT. Kleinfelter returned a punt 70 yards to set up the score and Latchford scored as time expired on the second-quarter clock.
Devon Clapper stopped a Hornet threat with a second-quarter interception
Juniata Valley scored once in each of the final two quarters, but missed both 2-pt.pass attempts to draw to within 10 points.
