Clair LeRoy Harper, 68, of Fagler Beach, Fla., formerly of Warriors Mark, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 5, 2008 in Warriors Mark. He was born September 22, 1939 in Bald Eagle, the son of Margaret (Morrissey) Harper, who survives, and the late Melvin Clair Harper. On March 23, 1963 he married Donna A. States in Winchester, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Darlene M. and husband Rick Kinard of Palm Coast, Fla.; two sons, Tim C. Harper of Warriors Mark and Troy A. Harper of Palm Coast, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jeri, Rebekah, and Mariah; and a brother. Sheldon L. Harper of Warriors Mark.
Mr. Harper had served in The United States Navy from 1957-60. He had worked in research and development of cardiac pace makers and leads, retiring in 1998.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with Pastor Michele Somerville officiating. Interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
